Jesus + Politics
Starting February 1st
This four-week class explores what it means to follow Jesus as citizens of heaven while faithfully seeking the welfare of the city where we live. By reflecting on key moments in Israel’s history as well as the life of Jesus and the early church, the course will help us navigate faith, identity, and politics without confusing allegiance to Christ with loyalty to any party, nation, or ideology. Together, we’ll open the Bible and reflect on life as exiles, consider Jesus’ challenge to political power, reclaim our primary identity as citizens of heaven, and practice a distinctly Christian “politics of love” marked by truth, humility, and love of neighbor—even in deeply polarized times.
