sundays at church in the square
We gather weekly at 10 AM at Logan Square Elementary (3651 W. Schubert Ave.) to sing songs and learn from the Bible—and it’s all about Jesus. Our kids enjoy gospel lessons that fit their age group. And we deepen our friendships, which is something we all need in the city.
Adevent 2025
The Story of Jesus is an Advent teaching series tracing the grand narrative of Scripture through the life of Christ—from creation to consummation. Each week the Scripture will reveal Jesus as the central figure of God’s redemptive story:
the Author who began it (Hebrews 12),
the Main Character who holds it together (Colossians 1),
the Hero who fulfills its promises (Matthew 1:1–17),
the Moral who embodies its meaning (Matthew 1:18–25), and
the Resolution who brings it to completion (Revelation 21).
Through this series, we’ll be encouraged and reminded that Advent isn’t a standalone event but the center of a larger narrative—one that begins in a cradle, leads to a cross, and ends in a renewed creation where God dwells with his people forever.
KIDS IN THE SQUARE
On Sundays, our kids are learning about the gospel through curriculum based on the Jesus Storybook Bible.
YOUTH IN THE SQUARE
Our students are learning to trust God and ask big questions—like all of us. Currently, our 6th-12th graders are reading “10 Questions Every Teen Should Ask” and discussing it twice a month.
Introducing Refuge Church
In January, we helped start a new church in Humboldt Park. If that’s your neighborhood, you should check them out!
