sundays at church in the square

We gather weekly at 10 AM at Logan Square Elementary (3651 W. Schubert Ave.) to sing songs and learn from the Bible—and it’s all about Jesus. Our kids enjoy gospel lessons that fit their age group. And we deepen our friendships, which is something we all need in the city.

Current Teaching Series

The Gospel of Luke was written by a physician named Luke to a man named Theophilus. After carefully investigating the life of Jesus, Luke wanted his readers to know the truth about what God had done—because with Him, there is nothing impossible. From before Jesus’ birth to His resurrection and ascension, Luke shows us a Savior who moves with compassion, filled with the Spirit, bringing good news to the poor and hope to the outcast. Through parables like the Good Samaritan and the Prodigal Son, we see God’s mercy on full display. Luke reminds us that Jesus came “to seek and to save the lost,” and that His power to redeem is still at work today—proving that with God, there truly is nothing impossible.

Join us for this teaching series as we journey through Luke’s Gospel together and discover again the God who still brings light to darkness, hope to despair, and life to what once seemed impossible.

KIDS IN THE SQUARE

On Sundays, our kids are learning about the gospel through curriculum based on the Jesus Storybook Bible.

YOUTH IN THE SQUARE

Our students are learning to trust God and ask big questions—like all of us. Currently, our 6th-12th graders are reading “10 Questions Every Teen Should Ask” and discussing it twice a month.

Refuge Church

Last year we had the joy of helping start a new church in Humboldt Park. If that’s your neighborhood, you should check them out!
