JUAN ESTUPINANElder for Finance and Mission
With a deep background in finance, Juan leads mission and finance for Church In the Square. Juan received a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance at Indiana University-Fort Wayne. He is originally from El Paso, Texas and moved to Chicago in 2011. He is the Director of Finance & Accounting at a biotech company in Evanston and lives in Logan Square with his lovely wife Lindsey.
CHAD WATSONElder for Discipleship and Music
Chad received a BA in music from the University of Mobile and went on to serve in the local church in Alabama and Tennessee. He later completed his Masters of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY where he also served as an elder and musician in his church. He, his wife, Lauren, and their two boys, Archie and Fields, have lived in Chicago since 2016.
JASON HELVESTONElder for Teaching and Vision
Jason studied English at the University of Redlands and earned his Masters of Divinity from Denver Seminary. During his time in Denver he served as pastor after which he planted a church in the Bay Area before moving to Chicago in 2014. He is the author of a couple of books and writes and preaches regularly. He and his wife, Laura, along with their children live in Logan Square.
CHRISTINA WOLKENMinister for Connection
Christina studied Psychology and Criminal Justice at the University of Nebraska, earning a Master of Arts in Criminology at Adler University in Chicago. With a passion for research and community advocacy, she has created programming to encourage youth voice in community change, as well as facilitating trauma informed care training for various government agencies. She's also spent time researching faith-based organizations and their impact on levels of violent crime in Chicago neighborhoods. Christina, her husband Derek, their children, and puppies live in Portage Park.
MIKE LUNAElder for Staff and Small Groups
Mike received a bachelor’s degree at the Southwestern Assemblies of God University and earned his Masters of Arts from Redeemer Theological Seminary. Mike has led small groups with wife Nichole since 2011. He runs an artist management company and lives in Logan Square with Nichole & their bulldog Abigail.
AARON SWEENEYResident for Preaching and Discipleship
Aaron received a degree in Finance at Illinois State University and earned his Masters in Biblical Studies from Wheaton Graduate School. While attending Wheaton Aaron worked as a barista in Chicago where he met his wife Emily. He and his wife live in the Hermosa neighborhood.
